Upcoming Events
Since 2018, Hromada has proudly hosted educational, cultural, and fundraising events that uplift and unite the Ukrainian-American community. From concerts and community gatherings to charity banquets and theatrical performances, each event serves a greater purpose: to preserve Ukrainian heritage, strengthen diaspora connections, and support our charitable foundation, “Anhelyk,” which aids children who have lost their parents due to the war in Ukraine. These events not only celebrate our culture but also impact the lives of those in need.
California’s first Ukrainian theater, Wandering Stars, presents “BIRD IN THE ATTIC” — a moving drama by Oleh Mykhalyov about a young girl separated from her mother during wartime occupation. Told through video monologues, the play reflects on the fate of abducted Ukrainian children and the hope of bringing them home. Performed in Ukrainian with English subtitles, with all proceeds supporting Ukraine.
